PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2355 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A USE PERMIT FOR THE PLEASANTON <br />JOINT SCHOOL DISTRICT AS FILED UNDER CASE UP -83 -21 <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Joint School District has applied for approval <br />of a conditional use permit to allow the operation of <br />a private nursery schools and other private and <br />public educational facilities, warehousing, maintenance <br />storage and recreation facilities at the Pleasanton <br />School site, 4750 First Street; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is "P" (Public and Institutional) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of September 28, <br />1983 the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that a) the proposed location <br />of the conditional use is in accord with the objectives <br />of the ordinance code and the purposes of the district in <br />which the site is located; b) that the proposed location of <br />the conditional use and the conditions under which it would <br />be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the <br />public health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious <br />to the properties or improvements in the vicnity; and <br />c) that the proposed conditional use will comply with each <br />of the applicable provisions of the ordinance code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Approves case UP- 83 -21, application of the Pleasanton <br />Joint School District as herein described subject to <br />the following conditions: <br />1. That the premises be used in substantially the manner <br />shown on the approved plot plan on file with the <br />Planning Division. <br />2. That prior to additional individual instructional users <br />leasing space on the premises they shall secure administrative <br />approval from the Planning Division. <br />3. That any signs placed on the property be approved by <br />the City under separate application. <br />4. That since the District hopes to re -open the School <br />for public instruction at some point in the future, UP -83 -21 <br />shall be considered a temporary use permit to expire five <br />(5) years from the date of approval. <br />
