WHEREAS, as a result of a recent application for PUD zoning and <br />development plan approval for a High Density Residential <br />project proposed for the 6.6 acre parcel located just to the <br />east of the Stoneridge Townhouses; and <br />WHEREAS, there was public outcry against this development because <br />of traffic projections, density of land use; and <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing a traffic report prepared by Wilbur Smith <br />concerning this property with the surrounding neighbors the <br />Planning Commission found that Medium Density Residential <br />would be more appropriate than High Density Residential for <br />the site. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />HEREBY RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Initiates an application for a general plan amendment <br />to the land use designation of the 6.6 acre site located just <br />to the east of the Stoneridge Townhouses on Stoneridge Drive. <br />Section 2.
