PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2323 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AS FILED UNDER CASE GP -83 -3 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the General Plan Land Use Element to include specific reference to residential population densities and commercial /industrial land use intensities; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 22, 1983, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, exhibits and recommendations of the City Staff concerning this proposal; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: the Planning Commission recommended adoption of the Negative Declaration prepared for case GP -83 -3; and in Twain Harte Homeowners Association, of Tuolemne the State Court of Appeal, that the county's land use element was matter of law; and Commissioner Arrigoni and Acting Chairman Lindsey Commissioner Getty Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson and Wilson None Inc. v. the County Fifth District, held insufficient as a WHEREAS, the court found a failure to satisfy the requirements of the Government Code 65302(a) in that the county's land use element did not contain an adequate statement of standards of population density and building intensity for the various land use areas designated by the general plan; and WHEREAS, it now makes sense to address the population density and building intensity standards in the Pleasanton General Plan, in light of the Twain Harte decision. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends that the language shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made part of this case by reference be included in the Land Use and Circulation Element of the Pleasanton General Plan adopted February 6, 1976. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
