PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2323 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE GP -83 -3 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the <br />General Plan Land Use Element to include specific <br />reference to residential population densities and <br />commercial /industrial land use intensities; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 22, 1983, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />exhibits and recommendations of the City Staff concerning <br />this proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br />the Planning Commission recommended adoption of the <br />Negative Declaration prepared for case GP -83 -3; and <br />in Twain Harte Homeowners Association, <br />of Tuolemne the State Court of Appeal, <br />that the county's land use element was <br />matter of law; and <br />Commissioner Arrigoni and Acting Chairman Lindsey <br />Commissioner Getty <br />Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson and Wilson <br />None <br />Inc. v. the County <br />Fifth District, held <br />insufficient as a <br />WHEREAS, the court found a failure to satisfy the requirements of <br />the Government Code 65302(a) in that the county's land use <br />element did not contain an adequate statement of standards <br />of population density and building intensity for the <br />various land use areas designated by the general plan; and <br />WHEREAS, it now makes sense to address the population density and <br />building intensity standards in the Pleasanton General Plan, <br />in light of the Twain Harte decision. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends that the language shown on Exhibit "A" <br />attached hereto and made part of this case by reference <br />be included in the Land Use and Circulation Element of the <br />Pleasanton General Plan adopted February 6, 1976. <br />Section 2.
