PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2312 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FILED FOR LEISURE SPORTS, INC. /VORELCO, INC. UNDER <br />CASE GP -83 -2 <br />WHEREAS, Vorelco, Inc. and Leisure Sports, Inc. have applied to amend the <br />general plan land use designations from General and Limited Industrial <br />to Industrial /Commercial and Offices for approximately 23 acres <br />located at the southeast corner of I -580 and I -680 in the vicinity <br />of 7090 Johnson Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 8, 1983, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant maps and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning the proposed development <br />plan including the environmental impacts of the proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in <br />accordance with state and local guidelines governing the preparation <br />of negative declarations and environmental impact reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated there may be <br />a significant impact on the environment as a result of project approval <br />but that conditions imposed in project approval would reduce those <br />potential impacts to an insignificant level. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE <br />FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Finds that based upon the review of the Initial Study, public <br />testimony and documentary evidence presented at the public hearing, <br />because of conditions imposed upon project approval, there would be no <br />significant adverse impacts upon the environment as a result of <br />project approval. <br />Section 2. Recommends approval of the Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared <br />for case GP -83 -2 as described herein. <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage <br />and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON THE <br />8TH DAY OF JUNE 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: June 8, 1983 <br />
