PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2305 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DENYING THR APPLICATION OF HOLIDAY INNS, INC. AND FIRST NATIONWIDE SAVINGS AND LOAN FILED AS CASE PUD -83 -7 WHEREAS, Holiday Inns, Inc. and First Nationwide Savings and Loan have applied for PUD (Planned Unit Development) development plan approval for a 249 room, seven story hotel structure and related facilities on a 4.39 acre site located near the northwest corner of Dublin Canyon and Foothill Roads; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) Central Commercial District; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered all pertinent documents, staff recommendation and public input at their duly noticed public hearing on May 25, 1983 and found the project to not meet the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare, more specifically, that the proposed building was too tall, too large for the site and the project would create traffic problems, among others, and not meet community needs for a full facility motel. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF TH7 CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Denies Case PUD -83 -7, application of Holiday Inns, Inc. and First Nationwide Savings and Loan for PUD development plan approval for a 249 room, seven story hotel structure and related facilities on a 4.39 acre site located near the northwest corner of Dublin Canyon and Foothill Roads. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
