CITY COUNCIL CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1402 ORDINANCE APPROVING T~E APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PT~ASANTON FOR THE PREZONING AS FILED UNDER CASE RZ-89-2 (BONDE PROPERTY) WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to prezone an approximately 100 acre site located on both sides of Bernal Avenue generally between Independence Drive and Angela Street to the "A" (Agricultural) District or to any other zoning district consistent with the General Plan; and WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a negative declaration was adopted by Council on February 21, 1989; and WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendations for approval for prezoning the subject site; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on February 21, 1989; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed prezoning is consistent with the General Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council that if the area located between Abbie Street and Bernal Avenue should be developed, (1) the fill placed in this area should be lowered in order to allow development to occur without blocking the reasonably expected views from properties along Abbie Street across adjoining lots to the south, and (2) views are anticipated to be protected through grant of view easements or other mechanisms at the time development should occur. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PT.RASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves the prezoning of an approximately 100 acre site located on both sides of Bernal Avenue generally between Independence Drive and Angela Street to the "A" (Agricultural) District. Section 2. The Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton dated April 18, 1960, on file with the City clerk, designating and dividing the City into zoning districts is hereby amended by Zoning Unit Map 370, attached hereto as
