CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1437 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY <br /> OF PLEASANTON TO PREZONE AN APPROXIMATELY 351.6 <br /> ACRE SITE LOCATED SOUTHWEST OF CASTLEWOOD <br /> COUNTRY CLUB AND GENERALLY WEST OF FOOTHILL <br /> ROAD TO THE PUD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT) - <br /> LOW DENSITY/RURAL DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, "A" <br /> (AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT AND THE "P" (PUBLIC AND <br /> INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 5, 1989, the City Council <br /> initiated prezoning of an approximately 351.6 acre site <br /> located southwest of Castlewood Country Club and <br /> generally west of Foothill Road to the PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development) - Low Density/Rural Density Residential, <br /> "A" (Agricultural) District and "P" (Public and <br /> Institutional) Districts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a negative <br /> declaration was adopted by Council on <br /> November 7, 1989 after considering all public testimony, <br /> relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendations for the proposed prezonings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed zoning <br /> districts are in conformance with the General Plan. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the application of the City of Pleasanton <br /> (Case RZ-89-10) to prezone an approximately 351.6 acre <br /> site located southwest of Castlewood Country Club and <br /> generally west of Foothill Road (Shown on Exhibit "A") <br /> as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The 250 acre EBRPD property to the "P" (Public and <br /> Institutional) District; <br /> <br /> 2. The 91 acre Currin Property west of Foothill Road <br /> to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) Rural and Low <br /> Density Residential District; and <br /> <br /> <br />
