CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1456 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE APPROVINGTHE APPLICATION OF PRUDENTIAL <br /> INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICAAS FIY~DUNDER CASES <br /> PUD-81-30-23MAlqD PUD-81-30-50D <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied <br /> for Planned Unit Development rezoning (major <br /> modification) and development plan approval to <br /> construct 153 townhomes and related improvements on <br /> an approximately 12.46 acre site located at the <br /> southwest corner of West Las Positas Boulevard and <br /> Stoneridge Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development) - Industrial, Commercial and Offices <br /> District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a <br /> negative declaration was adopted by Council on <br /> March 20, 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's positive <br /> recommendations for approval of a General Plan <br /> Amendment, Rezoning (major modification) and <br /> Development Plan approval for this subject site; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed subject <br /> PUD zoning meets the PUD considerations established <br /> in the Zoning Ordinance of the Municipal Code, is <br /> consistent with the General Plan land use <br /> designation of "High Density Residential," and the <br /> General Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASeTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the application of Prudential Insurance <br /> Company of America (Case PUD-81-30-23M) for a major <br /> modification to Case PUD-81-30-23, to rezone the <br /> approximately 12.4 acre site bounded by Stoneridge <br /> Drive, the Arroyo Mocho Canal, Tassajara Creek, and <br /> West Las Positas Boulevard to the PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development) - High Density Residential District. <br /> <br />Section 2: Approves modification to allow high density <br /> residential uses on Lots 24A and 27B while <br /> retaining the maximum allowable floor area for the <br /> Hacienda Business Park at 11,755,000 square feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
