CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1465 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11.20 OF <br /> THE PT~ASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING <br /> DECREASE IN THE SPEED LIMIT ON FOOTHILL <br /> ROAD FROM THE SOIFI~r~RN CITY LIMIT TO <br /> BERNALAVENUE <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 11.20 (Speed Limits), Section 11.20,020 <br /> (Decrease in state law maximum speed), subsection <br /> C(1) is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "C. Foothill Road <br /> <br /> 1. On Foothill Road from Bernal Avenue <br /> southerly to the city limit line the speed limit <br /> shall be thirty-five miles per hour." <br /> <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Tri- <br /> Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) <br /> days after the date of its final passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton on May 15, 1990. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Pleasanton on June 5, 1990 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None __ <br /> KENNETH R. MERCER, MAYOR <br /> <br />Michael H. Roush, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
