CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-120 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF A <br />WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board a case <br /> concerning a retired fire engineer, Randy Hyde; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City's workers' compensation claims administrator has requested authority <br />from the City Council to settle this claim in the amount discussed in the <br />memorandum dated October 22, 2001 from the administrator to the Human <br />Resources Manager; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such request is reasonable and justified under the circumstances. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City Attorney is authorized to settle the above-mentioned case in the amount <br />not to exceed that requested by the Claims Administrator. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 4, 2001 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Ayala, Campbell, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Pico <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Peggy LY.. l~zi~ro, City (~q~erk <br /> <br />Michael H.
