CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1480 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING PT~ASANTONMUNICIPAL CODE <br /> SECTION 2.08.020 REGARDING RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT <br /> FORT HE CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 2.08.020 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 2.08,020 Residence requirement. <br /> <br /> Residence in the city at the time of <br /> appointment of a city manager shall not be required <br /> as a condition of the appointment, but within one <br /> hundred eighty days thereafter, unless extended by <br /> resolution of the city council for a specific <br /> period of time, the city manager must become a <br /> resident of the city, or the city council shall <br /> declare the office of the city manager to be <br /> vacant. <br /> <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley <br /> Times," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) <br /> days after the date of its final passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton on August 7, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
