CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> I~OONTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> BTATI[ OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />REQUESTING PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT <br />ON PROPOSED MODI~ICATIONS OF RECO~94ENDED <br />GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />did recommend for adoption by the Council a new Pleasanton Area <br />General Plan by report dated January 29, 1965; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, public hearings have been duly held by the City <br />Council of the City of Pleasanton on said proposed Pleasanton <br />Area General Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 65510 of the Government Code of the State <br />of California requires changes proposed by the City Council to <br />be referred to the Planning Commission for report back; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council does hereby request the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Pleasanton to consider proposed changes, <br />which differ from its recommended General Plan dated January 29, <br />1965, and report back to the City Council its view on the eight <br />proposed changes listed below, as soon as possible. <br /> <br />2. Said proposed modifications are as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) Commercial Areas: In the text of the plan provide <br />that neighborhood shopping centers shall be from 5 to 8 acres <br />with .a maximnm of 60,000 square feet usmble '~n~id~building space. <br /> <br /> 2) Commercial Areas: The easterly side of First <br />Street between Kottinger Avenue and Vineyard Avenue, the d~pth <br />of the existing lots, be changed to Commercial-Neighborhood (C-N) <br />District. <br /> <br /> 3) Industrial Areas: A circular area be inserted in <br />the center of the General Electric Vallecitos Laboratory site, <br />with the circle marked 'General Industrial", to conform with <br />certain munufacturing processes presently carried on in the <br />limited industrial area. <br /> <br /> 4) Community Facilities: Relocate the proposed high <br />school at the southwesterly location of proposed Pine Avenue <br />extension and Foothill Road, and delete the neighborhood shopping <br />area shown there. <br /> <br /> 5) Co-,m~nity Facilities: Include a 2 acre park site <br />in Tract 2591 (Pleasanton Valley), between Black Avenue and <br />Arroyo del Valle, inadvertently omitted. <br /> <br /> 6) Circulation: On Interstate Route 680 freeway, <br />locate Pine Street extension approximately 300 feet north of <br />Arroyo Mocho, with that being the only interchange between <br />Interstate Route 580 and Bernal Avenue. <br /> <br /> 7) Circulation: Move the proposed Del Valle Parkway <br />northerly of Arroyo del Valle as it extends easterly from First <br />Street to the Pico Avenue extension. <br /> <br />- 1- <br /> <br /> <br />
