RESOLUTION NO. 65-70 RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton, Alameda County, California, did, on the 8th day of March, 1965, order the construction of improvements and acquisitions to be made in Assessment District No. 1964-3, Arroyo Del Valle Interceptor Sewer Project, City of Pleasanton, Alameda County, California, 'as described in Resolution of Intention No. 65-38 of said City Council, adopted on the 8th day of March, 1965; and WHEREAS, by Resolution adopted on the 8th day of March, 1965, it was directed that bids be called for the doing of said con- struction work, and that the time fixed for receiving sealed bids or proposals was set for the 8th day of April, 1965, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. of said day; and WHEREAS, Notice Inviting Sealed Bids was duly published in the time and manner required by law; and WHEREAS, all bids having been publicly opened, examined and declared pertaining to the doing of the work and improvements described in Resolution of Intention No. 65-38, adopted on March 8, 1965, whicK said Resolution of Intention is hereby expressly referred to for a description of said work and improvements and for all other particulars relative to the proceedings under said Resolution of Intention; NOW, THEREFORE~ IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pleasanton hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except that herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for said improvements to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit: ERNEST E. PESTANA, INCORPORATED at the prices named in the bid of said bidder on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton. The City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton is hereby directed to publish a Notice of said Award. -1-
