On a corner lot, sidewalk dining areas and <br /> sidewalk decorative displays shall be located <br /> at least ten feet from the intersection of the <br /> right-of-way lines. <br /> <br /> d. Sidewalk decorative displays shall occupy no <br /> more than fifty square feet. <br /> <br /> e. All sidewalk dining furniture and sidewalk <br /> decorative displays shall be removed daily <br /> after business hours. <br /> <br /> f. No portion of a sidewalk dining area or <br /> sidewalk decorative display shall be <br /> permanently attached to the sidewalk. <br /> <br /> g. Any umbrella or similar feature used in a <br /> sidewalk dining area or sidewalk decorative <br /> display shall be secured safely to a table, <br /> chair, or the ground. <br /> <br /> h. In the event that the adjoining restaurant, <br /> delicatessen, or ice cream/yogurt shop is <br /> licensed to serve alcoholic beverages, the <br /> permittee shall post signage, satisfactory to <br /> the Zoning Administrator, inside and outside <br /> of the establishment giving patrons notice <br /> that the consumption of alcoholic beverages <br /> within the sidewalk dining area is prohibited. <br /> <br />2. Design <br /> <br /> a. The design and appearance of all proposed <br /> improvements or furniture, including but not <br /> limited to tables, chairs, benches, umbrellas, <br /> and menu boards, to be placed in the sidewalk <br /> dining area shall present a coordinated theme <br /> and shall be compatible with the appearance <br /> and design of the principal building, as <br /> determined by the Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br /> b. Sidewalk decorative displays shall be designed <br /> to enhance the appearance of a structure or <br /> site and shall present an attractive <br /> arrangement of merchandise sold within the <br /> store. <br /> <br /> Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
