CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1487 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11.20 TO <br /> DECREASE THE SPEED LIMIT ON BERNAL AVENUE <br /> BETWEEN FOOTHILL ROAD AND EASTERLY LIMIT OF <br /> ARROYO DE LAGUNA BRIDGE <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 11.20 (Speed Limits), Section ll.20.010(K)(1) <br /> is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> K. Bernal Avenue <br /> <br /> 1. Bernal Avenue between the easterly side of the <br /> Arroyo de Laguna Bridge and Pleasanton Avenue <br /> the speed limit shall be forty-five miles per <br /> hour. <br /> <br />Section 2: Chapter 11.20, Section 11.20.020 is amended to add the <br /> following subsection: <br /> <br /> V. Bernal Avenue. On Bernal Avenue from Foothill Road <br /> to the easterly side of the Arroyo de Laguna <br /> Bridge, the speed limit shall be thirty-five miles <br /> per hour. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a <br /> newspaper of general circulation published in the City of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on October 2, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
