CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-114 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE <br />REPORT OF THE PLEASANTON DOWNTOWN <br />ASSOCIATION ADVISORY BOARD, DECLARING THE <br />INTENTION TO LEVY AN ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FOR <br />2002 AND ESTABLISHING A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has heretofore established a Downtown Pleasanton Business <br />Improvement District, the purposes and boundaries of which are set forth in <br />Chapter 5.28, Pleasanton Municipal Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore appointed a Pleasanton Advisory Board for <br /> the Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said Advisory Board has prepared a report for 2002, which report is on file with <br />the City Clerk, which report satisfies the statutory requirements of Streets and <br />Highways Code, §36533 and which report is attached to this resolution. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The report of the Advisory Board is accepted and approved. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />The City Council intends to levy and collect assessments within the District for <br />2002, for the proposed improvements and activities as provided in Chapter 5.28 of <br />the Pleasanton Municipal Code and as provided in the attached report. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />The public hearing on the levy of the proposed assessment for 2001 is set for <br />Tuesday, December 4, 2001, at 7:00 p.m.., in the City Council Chambers, 200 Old <br />Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California, at which time protests to the assessment <br />may be made, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing <br />as provided in §36534 of the Streets and Highways Code. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
