Ordinance No. 1507 <br /> <br />Section 2: Section 2.32.090 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "SeCtion 2.32.090 Termination of term of <br /> office. <br /> <br /> A. At the end of each six-month period, <br /> the secretary of the commission shall report <br /> the attendance record of each member of the <br /> commission to the city manager, who shall <br /> transmit the report to the city council <br /> <br /> B. The City Manager shall notify in <br /> writing any member who'has been absent from <br /> one-third of the regular meetings during the <br /> course of a six month period of that fact and <br /> reguest that the.member submit to the City <br /> Council in writing the reasons for the <br /> absences. <br /> <br /> C. The City Council shall determine if <br /> the member's reasons for the absences were <br /> justified. If the City Council determines <br /> that the reasons for the failure of the <br /> member to attend the meetings in question <br /> were not justified, the City Council shall <br /> terminate the term of office of the member <br /> and declare the office vacant. <br /> <br /> D. If the city council declares such <br /> office vacant, the city council shall take <br /> appropriate steps to appoint a qualified <br /> person to fill such vacancy for the unexpired <br /> term and the city clerk shall notify the <br /> member that the m-mher's term has been <br /> officially terminated." <br /> <br />Section 3: Section i (part) of Ordinance 1357 and Section <br /> 2.34,050 Of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 2.34.050 Meetinus. <br /> <br /> (Subsections A and B, no change.) <br /> <br /> C. A majority of the regular members <br /> shall constitute a quorum. <br /> <br /> <br />
