I. Any sign proposed to be located in an R-1 <br /> district, or in any PUD district developed under R-1 <br /> standards, whether illuminated or non-illuminated, <br /> shall be subject to review by the design review board, <br /> as provided in Chapter 18.20.100. <br /> <br /> Section 18.96.100 Temporary signs adjacent to <br /> freeways. <br /> <br /> All temporary signs, except for temporary subdivision <br /> signs as defined in Section 18.96,090 of this chapter <br /> and except for all signs pertaining to the sale, lease, <br /> rental or display of a structure or land, shall be <br /> subject to the review and approval of the zoning <br /> administrator. Such sign shall not exceed one hundred <br /> square feet in size or fourteen feet in height. These <br /> height and size restrictions need not apply to <br /> properties over one hundred acres in size. In <br /> conjunction with the approval of such signs, the zoning <br /> administrator may require the applicant to enter into <br /> an agreement with the city to maintain the sign in an <br /> attractive manner throughout the duration of its <br /> existence. Such signs shall be maintained for a <br /> maximum period of one year after which time an <br /> extension may be approved by the zoning administrator <br /> upon reapplication or the signs shall be completely <br /> removed. <br /> <br /> Section 18.96,150 Design Review <br /> <br /> All signs shall be subject to design review by the <br /> zoning administrator as prescribed in Chapter 18.20 of <br /> this title. Any other sign determined by the zoning <br /> administrator to be inconsistent with Sections <br /> 18.04.010 and 18.96,010 shall be subject to design <br /> review by the design review board. Applicants are <br /> advised to confer with the zoning administrator before <br /> preparing detailed plans. <br /> <br />Section 4: Section 2 (part) of Ordinance 1220 and Section <br /> 18,112.020 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 18,112,020 Nonresident district standards. <br /> <br /> No exterior satellite earth station having a dimension <br /> greater than two feet in diameter shall be allowed in <br /> any nonresidential district unless it complies with the <br /> requirements of this section. For the purposes of this <br /> section, "satellite earth station" means a parabolic <br /> dish antenna designed for the transmission and/or <br /> receiving of signals from a satellite and used for <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1520 -6- <br /> <br /> <br />
