CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1550 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PI~ASANTON AMENDIRG SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE 1083, SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF ORDINANCE 1089 AND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE 1093, AND SECTIONS 5.04. 010, 5.08.020, 5.08.030, 5.08.040, 5.08.050, 5.08,080, 5.08.090, 5.08.100, 5.12.010, 5.12.030, 5.20,010, 5.20,020, 5.20.030, 5.24,010, AND 5.24.040 OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE, AND DELETING SECTION 5.04,040 FROM THEpLEASANTONMUNICIPALCODE, CONCERNING BUSINESS LICENSING AND TAXATION- THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section ~: Section 2 of Ordinance 1089 and Section 5.04.010 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 5.04,010 Defini_ tions. (Subsections A and B, no change.) C. 'Collector' shall mean the City Finance Director or the Director's authorized assistants. D. 'Gross receipts' means and includes the total of amounts actually received or receivable from sales and the total amounts actually received or receivable for the performance of any act or service of whatever nature it may be, for which a charge is made or credit allowed, whether or not such act or service is done as a part of or in connection with the Sale of materials, goods, wares or merchandise. Included in 'gross receipts' shall be all receipts, cash, credits and property of any kind or nature, without any deduction therefrom on account of the cost of the property sold, the cost of materials used, labor or service costs, interest paid or payable, or losses or other expenses whatsoever.
