CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1548 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE 1262 AND SECTION 9.24.060 OF THE PLEASEON MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING SMOKING AREAS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Section 6 of Ordinance 1262 and Section 9.24.060 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 9.24~060 Optional smoking areas. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter to the contrary, the following areas shall not be subject to the smoking restrictions of this chapter: (nochange) A. Private residences; (no change) B. Bars; (nochange) C. Hotel and motel rooms rented to guests; (nochange) D. Retail stores that deal exclusively in the sale of tobacco and smoking paraphernalia; (nocha~e) E. Restaurants, hotel and motel conference or meeting rooms, and public and private assembly rooms while these places are being used for private functions; (nochange) F. A private residence which may serve as a place of employment; (~ change) G. Restaurants having seating capacity of forty-nine or less persons; (nochange) H. A private enclosed place occupied exclusively by smokers, even though such a place may be visited by nonsmokers, and private enclosed offices, excepting places in which smoking is prohibited by the fire department or by any other law, ordinance or regulation; (he.) I. Property owned by the Pleasanton Unified .School District or by the County of Alameda upon the District's and/or the County's adoption of smoking policies at events on their respective properties within Pleasanton."
