CITY OF COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1546 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11.20, SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Chapter 11.20 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br /> Pleasanton, Speed Limits, is hereby amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> CHAPTER 11.20 <br /> <br /> SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br /> Sections: <br /> 11.20.010 Increasing state speed limits <br /> in certain zones. <br /> 11.20.020 Decreasing state speed limit <br /> in certain zones. <br /> <br /> 11.20.010 Increasing state speed limits in <br /> certain zones. <br /> <br /> It is determined upon the basis of an engineering <br /> and traffic investigation that the speed permitted <br /> by state law upon the following streets is less <br /> than is necessary for safe operation of vehicles <br /> thereon. By reason of the said study it is <br /> declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be <br /> as set forth in this section on those streets or <br /> parts of streets designated in this section when <br /> signs are erected giving notice thereof: <br /> <br /> A. Andrews Drive. On Andrews Drive from Owens <br /> Drive to Old Santa Rita Road the speed limit <br /> shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour. <br /> <br /> B. Bernal Avenue. <br /> <br /> 1. On Bernal Avenue from Foothill Road to <br /> east side Arroyo de la Laguna Bridge the <br /> speed limit shall be thirty-five (35) <br /> miles per hour. <br /> <br /> 2. On Bernal Avenue from east side Arroyo <br /> de la Laguna Bridge to Pleasanton Avenue <br /> the speed limit shall be forty-five (45) <br /> miles per hour. <br /> <br /> <br />
