Ordinance No. 1552 <br />Page Two <br /> <br /> 1. $250; and <br /> 2. the actual cost of any medical treatment to <br /> injured officers; and <br /> 3. the actual cost of repairing any damaged City <br /> equipment or property. <br /> <br /> The $250 includes, but is less than, the actual amount of <br /> salaries and benefits for two police officers in <br /> responding to, or remaining at, any gathering where a <br /> second response is necessary. <br /> E. The person(s) responsible, as used in subsections B <br /> and C herein, shall mean the person who owns, rents, <br /> leases, or otherwise has control of the premises where <br /> the gathering takes place; the person in charge of the <br /> premises; and/or the person who organized the event. If <br /> the person responsible is a minor, then the parents or <br /> guardians of that minor shall be jointly and severally <br /> liable for the costs incurred for police services <br /> pursuant to this ordinance." <br /> Section 2: SeverabilitY- If any portion of this ordinance is for <br /> ..... any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the <br /> decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such <br /> decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining <br /> portions of this ordinance. The city Council hereby <br /> declares that it would have adopted this ordinance <br /> irrespective of the fact that any one (1) or more <br /> sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or <br /> portions thereof may be declared invalid or <br /> unconstitutional. <br /> <br /> Section 3: A s,!mmary of this ordinance shall be published once <br /> ..... within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Tri- <br /> Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete <br /> ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the <br /> City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> ..... after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> pleasanton on March 17, 1992. <br /> <br /> <br />
