Ordinance No. 1552 Page Two 1. $250; and 2. the actual cost of any medical treatment to injured officers; and 3. the actual cost of repairing any damaged City equipment or property. The $250 includes, but is less than, the actual amount of salaries and benefits for two police officers in responding to, or remaining at, any gathering where a second response is necessary. E. The person(s) responsible, as used in subsections B and C herein, shall mean the person who owns, rents, leases, or otherwise has control of the premises where the gathering takes place; the person in charge of the premises; and/or the person who organized the event. If the person responsible is a minor, then the parents or guardians of that minor shall be jointly and severally liable for the costs incurred for police services pursuant to this ordinance." Section 2: SeverabilitY- If any portion of this ordinance is for ..... any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The city Council hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance irrespective of the fact that any one (1) or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions thereof may be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
