8-4= Control of Surface Drainaqe <br /> <br />Subdivision surface drainage shall be controlled so that <br />landslide instigation, initiation or reactivation will be <br />minimized. All storm drainage, except for detention basins, <br />silt ponds, or other special conditions, should be in closed <br />conduits. Catch basins should be used frequently to catch <br />street gutter water. <br /> <br />8-5: S~ope Creep <br /> <br />Specific recommendations for reducing damage to structures and <br />infrastructure caused by slope creep shall be provided. This <br />shall include recommendations for setback distance from the <br />slopes subject to slope creep. <br /> <br />8-6: Setbacks from Creek Banks and Slopes <br /> <br />The project geotechnical engineer and/or engineering geologist <br />shall provide detailed recommendations for the setback of <br />structures from the crest of creek banks, cut slopes, fill <br />slopes and natural slopes. ~ <br /> <br />8-7: 8lope 8tabtllty~ Gradinq Procedures <br /> <br />The project civil engineer shall ensure that all <br />recommendations of the geotechnical engineer and/or <br />engineering geologist are reflected in the grading plan and <br />implemented by the developer. Cut slopes and fill slopes for <br />lot grading, public street construction, infrastructure <br />construction, and slope stabilization shall be installed as <br />recommended by the project geotechnical engineer and/or <br />engineering geologist. Drainage benches with concrete lined <br />"V" ditches shall be installed on all cut and fill slopes in <br />accordance with the requirements of applicable grading codes. <br />Subdivision grading construction shall be continuouslM <br />inspected bM the project civil engineer and geotechnical <br />engineer. Stabilization plans can be modified during <br />construction, as directed by the geotechnical engineer. All <br />slope stabilization grading shall be documented with as-built <br />drawings, which should include an as-built geologic map. <br /> <br /> Page 11 of 19 <br /> <br /> <br />
