CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1562 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 18.74.120 AND <br /> 18.74.130 OF T~E PLEASEON MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> REGARDING SIGNS IN THE DOWNTOWN <br /> REVITALIZATION DISTRICT <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 18.74,120 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is <br /> amended as follows: <br /> <br /> 18.74,120 Existinq Nonconforming Signs <br /> <br /> (Subsection A - no change.) <br /> <br /> B. Except for nonconforming historic signs meeting <br /> the requirements of subsection D below, existing <br /> nonconforming signs shall not be moved, altered or <br /> modified in any way. Any such sign so removed, <br /> altered or modified shall immediately become an <br /> illegal nonconforming sign and shall be removed or <br /> abated as provided in this code. Any alteration <br /> or modification to a nonconforming historic sign <br /> shall be consistent with and shall not detract <br /> from the historic character of the sign. <br /> <br /> C. A nonconforming sign shall become unlawful and <br /> shall be removed immediately upon any modification <br /> or alteration of the premises to which such sign <br /> relates, except that a nonconforming historic sign <br /> meeting the requirements of subsection "D" below <br /> shall be permitted to remain upon any modification <br /> or alteration of the premises to which the sign <br /> relates. <br /> <br /> <br />
