Ordinance No. 1572 <br />Page 2 <br /> Guidelines (Title 14, California Code of Regulations <br /> Sections 15301-15329); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance has been duly processed with proper public <br /> notice and full environmental review; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted legally noticed public <br /> hearings and have provided all interested parties an <br /> opportunity to be heard on these issues; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully considered the proposed <br /> Storm Water Management Program and finds that said <br /> proposed StormWater Management Program complies with the <br /> requirements of applicable federal and state law, and <br /> further that said Program contributes to the <br /> comprehensiveness of the City of pleasanton General Plan <br /> and provides an acceptable plan for the conservation of <br /> water resources within the City of Pleasanton and the <br /> protection of the health, safety and general welfare of <br /> its citizens. <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF pLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: The Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended by <br /> deleting the current Chapter 9.12. <br /> <br /> Section 2: The Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended by <br /> ' adding the new Chapter 9.14 to be titled and numbered and <br /> to read as follows: <br /> <br /> ,'Chapter 9.14 <br /> <br /> Storm Water Management and Discharge Control <br /> <br /> Section 9.14.010 Purpose and Interest <br /> This ordinance shall be knownas the "City of pleasanton Storm <br /> water Management and Discharge Control Ordinance" and may be <br /> so cited. <br /> The purpose of this Chapter is to ensure the future health, <br /> safety, and general welfare of City of Pleasanton citizens by: <br /> <br /> A. eliminating non-storm water discharges to the municipal <br /> separate storm sewer. <br /> <br /> B. controlling the discharge to municipal separate storm <br /> sewers from spills, dumping or disposal of materials <br /> other than storm water. <br /> <br /> C. reducing pollutants in storm water discharges to the <br /> maximum extent practicable. <br /> <br /> <br />
