Ordinance No. 1697 <br />Page Two <br /> <br /> C. Notwithstanding subsections A and B of this section, during a <br /> Pleasanton Downtown Association special sponsored event, it is unlawful <br /> for any solicitor, peddler, hawker, itinerant vendor, or any other person to <br /> sell or give away goods or merchandise, other than newspapers, books, <br /> magazines or similar material, on any unenclosed property within the <br /> Pleasanton Downtown Business Improvement District without a permit to <br /> do so from the Pleasanton Downtown Association. For purposes of this <br /> subsection, a Pleasanton Downtown Association special sponsored event <br /> shall include, but not be limited to, Antique Fairs, Heritage Days Fair, <br /> Cruise Night, Taste of Downtown, and the Catwalk." <br /> <br /> Section 2: Section 11.36.160 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is deleted in its <br /> entirety. <br /> <br />Section 3: Section 11.36.200 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 11.36,200 Vehicles~ including vehicles disoensine food, not to <br /> obstruct streets; vehicles disoensin~ food in park <br /> facilities prohibited. <br /> <br /> A. No person shall operate or park any vehicle on any street or in any <br /> parking lot owned or controlled by the city in such a manner as to obstruct <br /> or to interfere with the free use of such street or parking lot. <br /> <br /> B. No person shall operate or park any vehicle, wagon or pushcart from <br /> which goods, wares, merchandise, fruits, vegetables or foodstuffs are sold, <br /> displayed, solicited or offered for sale or bartered or exchanged, or any <br /> lunch wagon or eating car or vehicle, on any portion of any street in such a <br /> manner as to obstruct the free use of such street or to create in any manner a <br /> traffic hazard." <br /> <br /> C. Notwithstanding subsection A, no person shall stop or park any vehicle <br /> from which goods, wares, merchandise, fruits, vegetables or other <br /> foodstuffs are sold, displayed, solicited or offered for sale within any City <br /> park facility, such as Sportspark, without a permit to do so from the <br /> Director of Parks and Community Services. <br /> <br /> <br />
