CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1685 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br /> OF PROVIDIAN BANCORP FOR A MAJOR <br /> MODIFICATION TO AN APPROVED PLANNED UNIT <br /> DEVELOPMENT, AS FILED UNDER CASE <br /> PUD-80-16-7M <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Providian Bancorp has applied for a Planned Unit Development major <br /> modification and development plan approval to allow the construction of <br /> two (2) new, two-story office buildings totaling approximately 100,000 <br /> square feet of building floor area located on an approximately 11.15 acre <br /> site located at the southwest comer of Franklin Drive and Johnson Drive; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposal also includes the abandonment of the section of Morse Drive <br /> located between Franklin Drive and Johnson Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I/C-O <br /> (Industrial/Commercial and Office) Dislrict; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed project is covered by the negative declaration approved under <br /> PUD-80-16-3M; therefore no additional environmental document was <br /> prepared for this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendation for approval <br /> of the proposed major modification and development plan approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public heating was held on May 21, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed development plan modification is <br /> appropriate for the site and is consistent with the General Plan policies of <br /> the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the section of Morse Drive located between <br /> Franklin Drive and Johnson Drive is no longer needed to provide vehicular <br /> and pedestrian access to the site and to other sites located in the business <br /> park. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
