Ordinance No. 1669 <br />Page 19 <br /> <br /> accordance with this Article shall meet the <br /> following requirements: <br /> <br /> 1. All fire sprinkler system(s) alarm device, <br /> which may include water flow and valve tamper, <br /> shall be connected to an approved U.L. listed <br /> central station. <br /> <br /> 2. Sprinkler system design shall incorporate zone <br /> annunciation, including tenant occupancy <br /> identification, as specified by the Fire Prevention <br /> Bureau. <br /> <br /> 3. If available from the manufacturer(s) an on- <br /> site graphic annunciator with reset and trouble <br /> silence shall be provided at a location(s) approved <br /> by the Fire Prevention Bureau. All annunciation <br /> location(s) shall be provided with clear <br /> operational instructions, zone information and site <br /> map. <br /> <br /> 4. Specialized fire suppression equipment and <br /> specialized monitoring/detection equipment shall be <br /> required to transmit alarm information to the <br /> central station as required by the Fire Prevention <br /> Bureau. Examples include, but are not limited to, <br /> halon, clean agent fire extinguishing systems, <br /> hydrogen detection, highly toxic gas detection <br /> systems, dry-pipe air monitoring, heat and/or smoke <br /> detection systems other than single station <br /> devices, etc. <br /> <br /> 5. All control valves for the automatic sprinkler <br /> system shall be electronically supervised and <br /> transmit status information to the central station. <br /> <br /> 6. Final (as-built) plans including a copy of <br /> "Alarm Information" shall be maintained and on file <br /> at the control panel or other on-site location <br /> (key-lock box) approved by the Fire Department. <br /> <br /> 20.24.080 Section 1109.7 amended - Sparks from <br /> chimneys; exception <br /> <br /> Section 1109.7 (Exception) of the Uniform Fire Code <br /> is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Exception: Chimneys which are located more than <br /> 200 feet from any mountainous, brush-covered or <br /> forest-covered land or land covered with <br /> combustible material and are not attached to a <br /> <br /> <br />
