CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1628 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAFFER 18.96 OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO ALLOW <br /> TEMPORARY RELAXATION OF SIGN REGULATIONS <br /> FOR BUSINESSES DURING CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 21, 1994, the City Council reviewed the report of the <br /> Director of Planning and Community development (SR 94:207) regarding the <br /> temporary relaxation of sign regulations for businesses in the vicinity of the <br /> 1-580/Hopyard Road interchange and to allow the Planning Director to grant <br /> temporary exceptions to the sign ordinance regulations during future construction <br /> projects; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 18.96 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, "Signs", is hereby amended to <br /> add Section 18.96.160, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated <br /> herein by this reference. <br /> <br /> Section 2: A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days <br /> after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted <br /> for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage <br /> and adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on June 21, <br /> 1994. <br /> <br /> <br />
