Ordinance No. 1620 <br />Page Two <br /> <br /> "6.52.150 FCC: Cable Regulations <br /> <br /> A. Incorporation of FCC Cable Regulations. Grantor hereby adopts and <br /> incorporates by reference the FCC cable regulations implementing the <br /> Cable Television Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992 (47 <br /> U.S.C. 521 et seq.), including those rules and regulations regarding rate <br /> regulation as set forth in 47 CFR 76.900 - 76.985 and regarding customer <br /> service standards as set forth in 47 CFR 76.309. Amendments to FCC <br /> rules and regulations implementing the Cable Act of 1992 made after the <br /> effective date of this Section 6.52.150 shall also be incorporated by <br /> reference without further legislative action by the Grantor. <br /> <br /> The FCC Cable Regulations supersede any different or inconsistent <br /> provisions in this Chapter 6.52 or in the franchise agreement granted <br /> under it. <br /> <br /> B. Implementation. Grantor shall implement the FCC Cable Regulations in <br /> the City with the existing Grantee and any future franchisees. In <br /> implementing such Regulations, Grantor will ensure a reasonable <br /> opportunity for consideration of the views of interested parlies." <br /> <br /> Section 2: A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days <br /> after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted <br /> for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> Section3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final Pas~ge <br /> and adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br /> February 15, 1994. <br /> <br /> <br />
