Ordinance No. 1619 <br />Page Three <br /> <br /> 2.36.060 Housin_a Authority officers. <br /> <br /> A. Executive Director. The Board of Directors shall appoint an executive <br /> director. The executive director shall have genera[ supervision over the <br /> administration of the Housing Authority' s business and affairs, subject to <br /> the direction of the Board, and shall be charged with the management of <br /> the housing projects of the Housing Authority. The executive director <br /> shall serve at the pleasure of the Board. <br /> <br /> B. Secretary. The executive director shall serve as the executive secretary <br /> of the Board. The executive secretary shall keep the records of the <br /> Housing Authority; act as secretary of the meetings of the Board and the <br /> housing commission and record all votes, and shall keep the minutes and <br /> records of the Housing Authority for such purposes; shall keep in safe <br /> custody the seal of the Housing Authority and shall have power to affix <br /> such seat to all contracts and instruments authorized to be executed by the <br /> housing commission; with the chairperson of the housing commission, <br /> sign all contracts, deeds and other instruments. <br /> <br /> C. Treasurer. The executive director shall serve as the treasurer of the <br /> Housing Authority. The treasurer shall have the care and custody of all <br /> funds of the Housing Authority and shall deposit the same in the name of <br /> the Housing Authority in such bank or banks as the Board may select. <br /> Procedures for issuance of checks and orders for the payment of money <br /> shall be established by resolution of the housing commission. The <br /> treasurer shall invest funds aS directed; keep regular books of accounts <br /> showing receipts and expenditures and shall render to the Housing <br /> Authority, at each regular meeting (or more often when requested), an <br /> account of the transactions and also of the financial condition of the <br /> Housing Authority; be bonded for the faithful performance of duties as the <br /> Board may determine. <br /> <br /> D. Other Personnel The executive director may employ such personnel <br /> deemed necessary to exercise the powers, duties and actions as prescribed <br /> by the Housing Authority Law of California and all other laws of the state <br /> applicable thereto. The process for selection and compensation ranges of <br /> such personnel shall be determined by the housing commission." <br /> <br /> <br />
