Ordinance No. 1615 <br />Page Four <br /> <br /> ll' Smoking outside any enclosed place of employment shall occur at a <br /> reasonable distance from any place of employment to insure that smoke <br /> does not enter any place of employment through doors and windows and <br /> affect occupants therein, or those entering or leaving any place of <br /> employment. <br /> <br /> (Subsections D-F, no change.) <br /> <br /> 9,24.060 Optional Smokin2 areas. <br /> <br /> A. The following shall not be subject to the smoking restrictions of this <br /> chapter: <br /> <br /> 1. Private residences, except when such residence is used at any time <br /> as a family day care home or a health care facility. <br /> <br /> (Paragraphs 2-5, no change.) <br /> <br /> (Subsection B, no change.) <br /> <br /> Section 2: A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days <br /> after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted <br /> for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its adoption, except that if a <br /> business expends more than $500 to meet the requirements of Section 9.24,020H, <br /> the business shall have until July 1, 1994 to comply fully with the requirements <br /> of this Ordinance. <br /> <br /> <br />
