CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1581 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.24.060, <br /> TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS MANAGEMRNT PROGRAM, TO <br /> COMPLY WIT~ THE ALAMEDA COUNTY CONGESTION <br /> MANAGEMENT PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Congestion Management Program (CMP), <br /> adopted in response to Propositions 108 and 111, requires <br /> the City of Pleasanton to adopt a trip reduction <br /> ordinance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, although the City of Pleasanton has had such an ordinance <br /> since 1984, specific minor revisions are needed in order <br /> to meet the requirements of the CMP. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 17.24,060 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code <br /> is hereby amended by adding new subsections B, C, D, E, <br /> and F to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (Subsection A, no change.) <br /> <br /> "B. Every employer of fifty or more employees shall <br /> participate in any county-wide survey originated by <br /> the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency. <br /> There shall be only one annual transportation <br /> survey. <br /> <br /> C. Each employee of an employer of fifty or more <br /> employees shall annually receive information on <br /> commute alternatives and how to get assistance from <br /> the Workplace Coordinator. <br /> <br /> D. Employers of fifty or more employees shall post or <br /> otherwise distribute commute information supplied <br /> by the City or the Alameda County Congestion <br /> Management Agency. <br /> <br /> E. All newly hired employees of an employer of fifty <br /> or more employees shall receive information about <br /> commute alternatives within .~two weeks of their <br /> employment. <br /> <br /> <br />
