CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1717 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br /> OF PROVIDIAN BANCORP FOR A MAJOR <br /> MODIFICATION TO A PLANNED UNIT <br /> DEVELOPMENT AS FILED UNDER CASE <br /> PUD-80-16-10M <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Providian BanCorp has applied for a major modification to an approved <br /> PUD Plan to increase the allowed floor area for its fifth, currently unbuilt <br /> building, from 40,000 square feet to approximately 57,461 square feet, to <br /> be located in the Signature Center Business Park defined by Franklin and <br /> Johnson Drives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I/C-O <br /> (Industrial/Commercial and Office) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed project is covered by the existing Negative Declaration <br /> previously approved by the City Council for PUD-80-16-3M; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendation for approval <br /> of the major modification; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public heating was held on July 1, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the proposed modification to the approved <br /> Planned Unit Development is appropriate. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves Case PUD-80-16-10M, the application ofProvidian BanCorp for <br /> a major modification to an approved PUD plan to increase the allowed floor <br /> area for its fifth, currently unbuilt building, from 40,000 square feet to <br /> approximately 57,461 square feet, to be located in the Signature Center <br /> Business Park defined by Franklin and Johnson Drives, and subject to the <br /> conditions shown on "Exhibit B" attached hereto and by this reference <br /> incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> <br />
