Ordinance No. 1713 <br /> Page 7 <br /> <br /> 9.34.120 Cumulative Remedies. <br /> <br /> Nothing in this chapter shall be deemed to prevent the City from commencing civil <br /> or criminal proceedings to abate a public nuisance or from pursuing any other <br /> means under applicable ordinances or state law in addition to or as alternatives to <br /> the proceedings set forth in this Chapter. The remedies provided in this Chapter <br /> are intended to supplement penalties under federal, state and local law, including <br /> but not limited to Penal Code Sections 594, 594.1,594.6, 640.5 and 640.6 and <br /> Vehicle Code Section 13202.6. <br /> <br /> 9.34.130 Severability. <br /> <br /> If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Ordinance is <br /> for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of <br /> competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining <br /> portions of this chapter. The City Council declares that it would have adopted <br /> each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of <br /> the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases or <br /> portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional." <br /> <br /> Section 2: The ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in <br /> "Valley Times, "a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of <br /> Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the <br /> City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> <br />. Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on May 20, <br /> 1997. <br /> <br /> <br />
