CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDNANCE NO. 1726 AN ORDINANCE AME ' DING CHAPTER 18.40 (OFFICE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE THE REGULATIONS FOR MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENTS, AS FILED UNDER CASE RZ-97-04 WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 7, 1997, the City Council reviewed the report of the Director of Planning and Community Development (SR 97:290) regarding amendments to Chapters 18.40 (Office District), 18.44 (Commercial District), and 18.88 (Off-Street Parking Facilities) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to change the regulations for massage establishments to permit the administrative approval of small massage establishments if certain criteria are met, to conditionally permit gymnasiums and health clubs which include massage services in the Regional Commercial Districts, and to establish a parking requirement for massage establishments. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Chapters 18.40 (Office DiStrict, 18.44 (Commercial District), and 18.88 (Off-Street Parking Facilities) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are amended to read as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Section 2: A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Tri-Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage and adoption.
