B. An owner's failure to provide such evidence shall be grounds for the Certificate to <br />be suspended or revoked. <br /> <br />6.40.070 License Fees. <br /> <br /> Before the Chief of Police issues the Certificate, the applicant shall pay the City's <br />business license fee for the right to engage in the taxicab business as set forth in the Master Fee <br />Schedule2. <br /> <br />6.40.080 Certificate - Transfer. <br /> <br /> No Certificate may be sold, assigned, mortgaged or otherwise transferred without the <br />written consent of the Chief of Police. Any proposed assignee may be required to meet the <br />application procedures set forth in Section 6.40.030 of this Chapter. <br /> <br />6.04.090 Certificate and Permit - Duration: <br /> <br /> A. Every Certificate issued under this Chapter shall be valid for a period of five (5) <br />years, subject to revocation in a manner prescribed in this Chapter. <br /> <br /> B. Every Driver's Permit issued under this Chapter shall be valid for a period of two <br />(2) years, subject to revocation in the manner prescribed in this Chapter. <br /> <br />6.40.100 Certificate - Suspension Or Revocation. <br /> <br /> A Certificate issued under the provisions of this Chapter may be suspended or revoked at <br />any time by the Chief of Police if the holder thereof has: <br /> <br /> A. Violated any of the provisions of this Chapter. <br /> <br /> B. Discontinued operations of more than thirty (30) days. <br /> <br /> C. Been convicted of violating any ordinances of the City, or the laws of the United <br />States or the State, the violation of which reflect unfavorably upon the fitness of the holder to <br />offer public transportation. <br /> <br /> D. Operated the taxicab or taxicabs at a rate of fare in excess of that established and <br />set by resolution of the City Council. <br /> <br />2 The Master Fee Schedule is on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />Page 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
