CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1762 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA FOR MAJOR MODIFICATIONS TO AN APPROVED PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT, AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-81-30-41M WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied for PUD major modifications to the Hacienda development plan and design guidelines to: 1) allow hotel and motel uses on Site 35B and disallow hotel and motel uses on Sites 57A, 57B, and 57C; and 2) change the land use designation for Site 35B from MOIPD (Mixed Office, Research and Development/Light Manufacturing Planning District) to MCOIPD (Mixed Retail/Commercial/Financial, Office, and Research and Development/Light Manufacturing Planning District); and WHEREAS, zoning for the properties is PUD-I/C (Planned Unit Development o Industrial, Commercial, and Offices) District; and WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the Califomia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendations for approval of the proposed modifications; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on September 15, 1998; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the PUD modification to redesignate Parcel 35B to the MCOIPD land use designation, and the PUD modification to allow hotel uses on Parcel 35B and to disallow hotel uses on Parcels 57A, 57B, and 57C, would have no adverse impacts on the adjacent properties or the City in general, and that the proposed modification would not reduce the demand for, or marketability of, a full service convention hotel in Pleasanton. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
