Ordinance No. 1773 <br />Page Five <br /> <br /> 5.24.030 Refunds ofoverpayments. No refund of any overpayment of taxes <br /> imposed by this chapter shall be allowed in whole or in part unless a claim for <br /> refund is filed with the Collector within a period of one year from the last day of <br /> the calendar month following the period for which the overpayment was made, and <br /> all such claims for refund of the amount of the overpayment must be filed with the <br /> Collector on forms furnished by the Collector and in the manner prescribed by the <br /> Collector. Upon the filing of such a claim and when the Collector determines that <br /> an overpayment has been made, the Collector may refund the amount overpaid. <br /> <br /> 5.24.040 - 5.24.090, no changes. <br /> <br /> Chapter 5.28 Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District <br /> <br /> No changes. <br /> <br /> Chapter 5.32 Enforcement <br /> <br /> No changes." <br /> <br /> Section 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is <br /> for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of <br /> competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining <br /> portions of this chapter. The City Council declares that it would have adopted <br /> each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of <br /> the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases or <br /> portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional. <br /> Section 3: A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after <br /> its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published <br /> in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen <br /> (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> <br /> Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage <br /> and adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br /> February 2, 1999. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on February 16, <br /> 1999 by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
