,~,95,,,,.~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1773 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF <br /> BUSINESS LICENSE TAXES BY DEVELOPERS/GENERAL <br /> CONTRACTORS AND GENERAL CONTRACTORS HIRED <br /> BY OWNER/BUILDERS BY AMENDING TITLE 5, <br /> BUSINESS LICENSING AND TAXATION, OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Title 5, Business License and Taxation, of the Pleasanton Municipal Code shall be <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Chapter 5.04 General Provisions <br /> <br /> 5.04.010 Definitions. Fer the purposes of this title, certain words and terms <br /> used in this title Ere defined as follows: <br /> <br /> Subsections A - C, no changes. <br /> <br /> D. "Developer/general contractor" shall mean any person ~vho develops <br /> residential property or commercial property but shall not mean a <br /> general contractor hired by an owner-builder. A general contractor <br /> hired by an owner-building shall mean any person hired by the <br /> owner-builder to build, remodel, or alter an owner-occupied <br /> residential or commercial property. <br /> <br /> <br />
