CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1754 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO <br /> THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE BOARD OF <br /> ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC <br /> EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: That an amendment to the contract between the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees' <br /> Retirement System is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached <br /> hereto, marked Exhibit A, and by such reference made a part hereof as though <br /> herein set out in full. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor of the City of Pleasanton is hereby authorized, empowered, and <br /> directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of said Agency. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be adopted on an urgency basis and shall take effect <br /> immediately upon its adoption. It is necessary to adopt this ordinance on an <br /> urgency basis to meet the schedule established by PERS for this contract <br /> amendment. <br /> <br />Section 3: Prior to the expiration of thirty days from the passage thereof, a summary of this <br /> ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in <br /> "The Tri-Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in <br /> the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
