Chairperson Roberts requested that Page 6, be amended to read, "...however, all of the policies <br />in the General plan cannot be met all the time. <br /> <br />Commi~ioner Sullivan requested that Page 6, be amended to read, "Further, he stated there <br />should be no more housing on the westside of Foothill Road <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan requested that Page 7, be amended to mad, "Commissioner Sullivan <br />suggested that staff examine the Pleasanton West Las Pos#as Committee's notices. <br /> <br />The May 10, 2000 minutes were approved as amended. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS <br />THE pLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY <br /> <br />Carole Varela, 3858 Mohr Avenue, noted that the City of Pleasanton notice relating to the <br />May 25, 2000 Airport meeting contained an error in staff's phone number. Further, she <br />expressed concern with the noticing process and requested that the Commission provide a <br />recommendation to the City Council to examine the noticing process for ways in which to inform <br />the public of hearings and reduce postage costs. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Arkin, she noted the notices should contain <br />information relating to visibility of projects, impacts to traffic, affects on neighborhoods, and <br />impacts on the environment. <br /> <br />Mr. Plucker noted that staff has implemented some of the recommendations from the <br />Commission in relation to noticing and is in the process of examining other recommendations <br />from the Commission, such as impacts to staff. Further, that this issue will be agendized for <br />Commission disenssion at a future date for recommendation to the City Council. <br /> <br />4. ~EVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br /> <br />There were none. <br /> <br />5.
