THE CITY OF <br /> <br />pL£AS&NTON <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />JOINT MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIU <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br /> City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bemal Avenue, Pleasanton CA 94566 <br /> <br />Thursday, April 27, 2000 <br /> <br />The meeting was opened at 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />~[eatinf ODeR tO the Public <br /> <br />Mayor Tarver opened the meeting to the public for comment. <br /> <br />Richard Crane identified himself as the developer of the Stoneridge Villas project which was <br />discussed at the Planning Commission meeting on April 26, 2000. He described the project and <br />its application for a tax credit allocation which will allow the project to go forward. He noted <br />that if the City chooses to formally review this project rather than to allow the prior-approved <br />PUD development plan to be built, he will have to give back a tax credit allocation if it is <br />received. (Building permits are required to be pulled within 120 days of receipt of the tax <br />allocation.) <br /> <br />David Trotter, representing the present owner of the Stoneridge Villas site, described the <br />Plarming~ Commission hearing discussion, noting that the Foothill Road view of the building <br />would be well landscaped. He noted the developers being agreeable to make changes, including <br />increasing landscaping on the westerly side if the fire road can be deleted, but he noted the <br />necessity for such changes to be made administratively so as not to lengthen the time to secure a <br />building permit. <br /> <br />Discusaion then ensued concerning this project. Mayor Tarver noted it was hard to accept that <br />this development plan could still be acceptable after 15 years. He wondered if curreut residents <br />were knowledgeable about the project. If the plan was changing, it would need a hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan noted that the public process part of the development process was <br />missing; 15 years was too long a time period to meet his concept of public process, although he <br />felt the use was a great idea. <br /> <br />JOINT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL/PLANNING COMMISSION <br />April 27, 2000 <br /> <br />P~el <br /> <br /> <br />
