PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-99-08 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT A STUDY OF <br />THE UNDEVELOPED ROSE AVENUE PROPERTIES BE PERFORMED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 9, 1998, the Planning Commission denied Case <br />PUD-98-06 the application of Braddock & Logan for PUD rezoning and <br />development plan approval for 31 single-family lots on a 13.3+ acre site (three <br />existing parcels) located at 1635, 1777, and 1851 Rose Avenue, and determined <br />that a specific plan for the undeveloped properties in the Rose Avenue area should <br />be initiated; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 27, 1999 the Planning Commission decided to bring the <br /> item back to the Commission so that it could reconsider its previous action; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its duly noticed public hearing of February 10, 1999 the Planning Commission <br />agreed to reconsider its previous action denying PUD 98-06 and the <br />recommendation to the City Council for a specific plan for the Rose Avenue area; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, <br />and recommendations of the City staff, the Planning Commission determined that <br />a targeted study of the undeveloped Rose Avenue properties should be performed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommends to the City Council that a study of the undeveloped Rose Avenue <br />properties be performed which considers the impacts of the extension of Rose <br />Avenue to Valley Avenue, an analysis of the cumulative environmental impacts to <br />the Arroyo and undeveloped properties, evaluation of growth management and <br />school crowding issues, potential alternative land-use issues, and how the Rose <br />Avenue area fits into the Downtown Specific Plan and its relation to the <br />Downtown. <br /> <br /> <br />
