Resolution No. PC-99-04 <br />Page 17 <br /> <br />91. <br /> <br />The kitchen shall include a contained area for cleaning mats, containers, and <br />equipment. The wash area shall be covered or shall be designed to prevent runoff <br />onto or from the area. The area shall be connected to the sanitary sewer, subject to <br />approval by DSRSD, or shall be collected in a containment area and removed <br />regularly by a disposal and recycling service. If connected to the sanitary sewer, a <br />structural control such as a sand filter or oil/water separator shall be used, and a <br />sign shall be posted prohibiting the dumping of hazardous materials. Other <br />methods may be used subject to the approval of the Director of Building <br />Inspection. The applicants shall instruct employees to conduct all washing <br />activities in this area. <br /> <br />92. <br /> <br />If deemed necessary by the City Engineer after review of the drainage plan, the <br />applicants shall install structural control(s), such as an oil/water separator, sand <br />filter, or approved equal in the parking lot and/or parking garage to intercept and <br />pretreat storm water prior to reaching the storm drain. The design, locations, and a <br />schedule for maintaining the separator shall be submitted to the City <br />Engineer/Director of Building Inspection for review and approval prior to issuance <br />of building permits. The structural control shall be cleaned at least twice a year: <br />once immediately prior to October 1 and once in January. The applicants shall <br />enter into a maintenance agreement for the oil/water separator with the City. <br /> <br />93. <br /> <br />The applicants shall label all on-site storm drain inlets with the wording, "No <br />Dumping -- Drains to Bay" using City-approved methods and materials. On-site <br />storm drain facilities shall be cleaned a minimum of twice a year as follows: <br />immediately prior to October 15 and once in January. Additional cleaning may be <br />required if found necessary by the City Engineer/Director of Building Inspection. <br /> <br />94. <br /> <br />All trash enclosure areas shall be completely covered. An area drain shall be <br />installed in the enclosure area which connects to the sanitary sewer. A structural <br />control such as an oil/water separator or sand filter shall be provided. No other <br />area shall drain into the trash enclosure; a berm shall be installed to prevent such <br />drainage if found necessary by the City Engineer/Director of Building Inspection. <br />A sign shall be posted prohibiting the dumping of hazardous materials into the <br />sanitary sewer. The applicants shall notify the Dublin-San Ramon Services <br />District (DSRSD) upon installation of the sanitary connection; a copy of this <br />notification shall be provided to the Planning Department. <br /> <br /> <br />
