CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-110 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR <br />URBAN RECREATIONAL AND CULTURAL CENTERS, <br />MUSEUMS, AND FACILITIES FOR WILDLIFE <br />EDUCATION OR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION <br />PROGRAM (URCC) GRANT FUNDS FOR ALVISO ADOBE <br />HISTORICAL PARK UNDER THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD <br />PARKS, CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, AND COASTAL <br />PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2000 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the people of the State of California have enacted the Urban Recreational and <br />Cultural Centers, Museums, and Facilities for Wildlife Education or <br />Environmental Education Program which provides funds to the State of California <br />for Grants to cities, counties, nonprofit organizations and federally recognized <br />California Indian Tribes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated <br />responsibility for the administration of the Program within the state and the grant <br />project shown above, setting up necessary procedures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and Recreation <br />require the Applicant's governing body to certify by resolution the approval of the <br />application before submission of said application to the State; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant will enter into a contract with the State of Califomia for the project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Approves the filing of an application for local assistance funds from the Urban <br />Recreational and Cultural Centers, Museums, and Facilities for Wildlife or <br />Environmental Education Grant Program under the Safe Neighborhood Parks, <br />Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2000. <br /> <br /> <br />
