WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-098 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE A CHANGE IN WORKERS' COMPENSATION <br />THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATION TO INNOVATIVE <br />CARE SYSTEMS (ICS) <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton contracts for third party administration of workers' <br />compensation benefits; and <br /> <br />increased administrative efficiency, consistency in claims handling and enhanced <br />service levels can be realized by having one third party administrator for the <br />employee population; and <br /> <br />the City has had positive experience with Innovative Care Systems, Inc. (ICS) <br />claims administration with the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department; and <br /> <br />the cost of transferring ail existing and future workers' compensation claims to <br />Innovative Care Systems, Inc. will not require additional funding. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section i: The City Council approves the change in third party administration to Innovative <br /> Care Systems, Inc. and associated administrative fees. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the City Manager to execute the change. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 4, 2001 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
