CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 01-087 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FORMATIN COMMISSION TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS <br />FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION/DETACHMENT NO. 148 <br />(VINEYARD AVENUE REALIGNMENT) PURSUANT TO THE <br />REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1985 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox <br />Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with <br />Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the reorganization of <br />Annexation/Detachment No. 148 (Vineyard Avenue), and requests initiation of <br />proceedings thereon; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the territory proposed to be annexed and detached is uninhabited, and a description <br />of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and by <br />this reference incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the affected city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation/detachment are: <br /> <br />To establish the entire right-of-way of the relocated Vineyard Avenue as being <br />within the city limits to further its maintenance and policing, and to place all lands <br />of R_MC Lonestar being quarried pursuant to Alameda County quarry permits <br />within Alameda County's jurisdiction to simplify mining and reclamation <br />oversight. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section0 1: <br /> <br />The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda County is hereby <br />requested to undertake proceedings for the reorganization of territory as described <br />in Exhibit "A," according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the <br />manner provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of <br />1985. <br /> <br /> <br />
