CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 01-087 RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATIN COMMISSION TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION/DETACHMENT NO. 148 (VINEYARD AVENUE REALIGNMENT) PURSUANT TO THE REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1985 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the reorganization of Annexation/Detachment No. 148 (Vineyard Avenue), and requests initiation of proceedings thereon; and WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed and detached is uninhabited, and a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the affected city; and WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation/detachment are: To establish the entire right-of-way of the relocated Vineyard Avenue as being within the city limits to further its maintenance and policing, and to place all lands of R_MC Lonestar being quarried pursuant to Alameda County quarry permits within Alameda County's jurisdiction to simplify mining and reclamation oversight. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section0 1: The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda County is hereby requested to undertake proceedings for the reorganization of territory as described in Exhibit "A," according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985.
