PLANNING COMlviISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2000-47 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF ~ PREZONING AND <br />I~I~Y. ONING FOR THE BERNAL PROPERTY SPECIFIC PLAN AREA <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has applied for prezoning and mzoning to PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) District, Public Institutional, and PUD - Transportation Corridor the <br />516 +/- acm Bemal Property Specific Plan area located on both sides ofi-680, south <br />of Bemal Avenue as indicated on Exhibit A-' and <br /> <br />WI~REAS, the City of Pleasanton provided proper legal notice of the availability of the Draft <br /> Environmental Impact Report ("EIR") for this Project; and <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton accepted and responded to comments to the DraR EIIL and <br />p~r~ared a Final EIR for the Project which provided responses to the issues raised, <br />and then certified the Final EIR on Februa~ 15, 2000 following public heating; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held several public hearings regarding the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 9, 2000, the Planning Commission recommended approval <br /> of the draft August 8, 2000 Specific Plan for the Bernal Property; and <br /> <br />at ils notice public hearing on August 9, 2000, and after considering all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of City staff concerning this <br />proposal, the Planning Commission determined that the prezoning and rezoning of <br />the subject properties to PUD (Planned Unit Development) District, Public <br />Institutional, and PUD - Transportation designations would provide the Bernal <br />Property area the opportunity to develop in conformance with the land use <br />designations and policies of the General Plan and the Bemal Property Specific Plan <br />and in conformance with the prevailing development patterns of the surrounding <br />ar~a. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES TIIE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />~ection 1. <br /> <br />Recommend approval of the prezoulng and rezoning for the Bemal Property <br />Specific Plan Area, including: <br />· Prezone the 439.7 acres of the Bernal Property in unincorporated Alameda <br /> County to Pleasanton's PUD (Planned Unit Development) District. <br />· Rezone the approximately 70.3 acres of the Bemat Property already within the <br /> jurisdiction of the City of Pleasanton from I-P (Industrial Park) to PUD (Planned <br /> Unit Development) District. <br /> <br /> <br />
