PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2000-30 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO MODIFY CHAPTERS 18.78, THE WEST <br />FOOTHILL ROAD CORRIDOR OVERLAY DISTRICT; CHAPTER 18.08, DEFINITIONS OF <br />THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE; AND THE WEST FOOTHILL ROAD CORRIDOR <br />DESIGN GUIDELINES, AS FILED LrNDER CASE PRZ-01 <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend (1) Chapter 18.78, West Foothill <br />Road Corridor Overlay District, (2) Chapter 18.08, Definitions of the Pleasanton <br />Municipal Code, and (3) the West Foothill Road Corridor Design Cmidelines to <br />comprehensively modify lot size, house size, setback, height, building material, <br />structure design, lot grading, open space, foreridge, driveway, landscaping, <br />retaining wall, fencing, street lighting, structure color, and applicability standards, <br />and to add standards pertaining to photo simulations, story poles, geotechnical <br />reports, and waterway preservation. The amendment would enlarge the <br />boundaries of the district to include all land west of Foothill Road, including <br />properties on or near Dublin Canyon Road, within the City's Sphere-of-Influence; <br />and <br /> <br />at its duly noticed public hearing of May 24, 2000 the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning the amendment to the Municipal Code; and <br /> <br />the Planning Commission determined that the modifications would create an <br />overlay district with regulations which will implement the goals and policies of <br />the General Plan as they relate to maintaining the highly aesthetic, rural character <br />of the western hillside area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommend approval of Case PRZ-01, the application of the City of Pleasanton <br />to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to read as set forth in the Location Map, <br />and Exhibits "A" and "B," attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br />reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
